Sol de Valencia Gewürztraminer 2018

"If you like a white with lots of personality – tasty spice exotic fruit and nicely rounded – choose Gewurztraminer. This Spanish rarity has freshness too and makes a perfect partner for spicy Thai stir-fry or peppered squid. And it’s a charming aperitif as well. It comes from the excellent La Viña cellar where Marta Martínez is winemaker. Our Buyer Beth dropped by and was offered a glass to revive her in the 40 degree heat. Boom - Beth was smitten. The wine has explosive flavours of marmalade orange peel and lychee with a truly zingy finish. As critic Will Lyons wrote ""in mid summer as the temperatures rise and dusk falls later a glass of chilled Gewurz is exactly what the palate craves"". Great solo or with spicy or creamy dishes."
